Children & Youth Counselling (Age 10 and Up)
Supportive, practical counselling for kids and teens navigating big emotions, school stress, friendships, and growing-up challenges.
Children and youth experience stress in ways adults often don’t see—from school pressure, friendships, bullying, changing bodies, identity questions, family conflict, and the impact of social media. Our counselling for ages 10+ focuses on building confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy communication skills in a developmentally-appropriate, engaging, and supportive environment.

Sessions are tailored to your child’s age, strengths, interests, and learning style, helping them understand their emotions and build tools that last into adulthood.

FAQ
1. Do parents attend the sessions?
For younger children, parents may join the first session and participate periodically. For teens, sessions are usually confidential but parents receive updates with the youth’s consent.

2. How long will my child need counselling?
Some children benefit from short-term (6–10 sessions) support, while others prefer ongoing guidance. Your counsellor will discuss a plan that fits your child’s needs.

3. How do I know if my child needs therapy?
If you notice increased worry, emotional outbursts, withdrawal, sleep changes, school struggles, or social conflict, therapy can provide support before things escalate.

4. What if my child refuses to talk?
That’s normal. Our counsellors gently build rapport and introduce activities that help children open up at their own pace.

5. Do you communicate with schools or teachers?
With parental consent, we can collaborate with school staff to support your child across environments.

6. Is online therapy effective for kids and teens?
Yes—youth often enjoy virtual sessions. We use interactive tools to keep them engaged and comfortable.
