Generation Z & Generation Alpha
Young people from Generation Z (born mid-1990s to early 2010s) and emerging Generation Alpha (born mid-2010s onwards) face a unique constellation of challenges: digital overload, identity formation in a fast-changing world, social media pressures, climate anxiety, and intergenerational stress. We support young people (and their families) navigating these changes. Some common symptoms include:

-
Overwhelm by social media: constant comparison, fear of missing out (FOMO), low self-esteem
-
Anxiety or panic about school, performance, life choices, future-uncertainty
-
Depression or flat affect: loss of interest, social withdrawal, feeling “stuck”
-
Identity confusion: gender, sexuality, cultural background, “what do I do now?”
-
Sleep problems: staying up late online, insomnia, daytime fatigue
-
Constant distraction, difficulty focusing, digital multitasking overload
-
Social anxiety: feeling less able to engage face-to-face, preferring online
-
Loneliness even while connected online
-
Existential worries: climate change, global instability, meaninglessness
-
Family strain: generational gap, communication breakdown, being misunderstood
