First Nations Ontario & BC Counselling
Honouring heritage. Supporting healing. Providing culturally-aware counselling for First Nations communities across Ontario and British Columbia.
We recognize that First Nations individuals and communities may face unique cultural, historical, and intergenerational challenges — identity, trauma, systemic stress, loss, and reconnection. Having counsellors who understand Indigenous experiences, values, and the importance of cultural safety can make therapy more effective. Our First Nations counselling services combine professional training with respect for tradition, connection to heritage, and cultural humility.
Our approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each client’s background and lived experience. We meet you where you are — with sensitivity, understanding, and an openness to integrate cultural values or Indigenous perspectives when helpful.
Eligible First Nations and Inuit individuals (from ALL Canada Provinces) can access counselling benefits (virtual and in-person counselling) under the Indigenous Services Canada's (ISC) Non-Insured Health Benefits program.
Our counsellors are approved NIHB counselling providers and could direct bill for your convenience (you don't have to pay anything). We can assist you to apply for the funding.
